# Unlock Answers: FAQs on Anti-Wrinkle Injections & Cosmetic Injectables

Xeomin® Anti-Wrinkle Injections

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do anti-wrinkle injections work?

Anti-wrinkle injections target the small muscles under the skin. These muscles contract each time we move our face to laugh, frown, or squint. The anti-wrinkle product prevents these muscles from moving quite as much, which smooths out facial lines.

What’s in an anti-wrinkle injection?

Anti-wrinkle injections contain botulinum toxin A, which is a purified protein made from Clostridium botulinum. This is mixed with preserved saline before being injected under the skin.

Do anti-wrinkle injections hurt?

The preserved saline in our injections significantly reduces any pain you might feel during your treatment. We use very small needles so you may feel a little discomfort but it shouldn’t be painful.

Is anti-wrinkle treatment expensive?

We offer a competitive “per unit” price and payment options to make treatment affordable.

Will anti-wrinkle treatments make me look twenty years younger?

Our goal is to help you achieve natural-looking results, not make you look twenty years younger. Anti-wrinkle injections will soften the effects of aging, which will make you appear well-rested and youthful, while still looking natural.

How long before I start seeing results?

It will take a few days for you to see results, with the full effects of your treatment visible about two weeks later. We recommend you come back at that two week mark so we can assess how well it’s worked and discuss options for further treatment.

How long will each treatment last

On average, most people see their results last for about three months after treatment.

Are there any side effects?

A few common side effects are bruising or swelling at the injection site, headaches, incomplete results, and a change in eyebrow position. Less common side effects include drooping of the eyelid or eyebrow, flu-like symptoms, changes in your smile, trouble speaking, and facial asymmetry.

PROFHILO skin remodelling treatment INJECTIONS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Profhilo®?

Profhilo® is an injectable skin remodelling treatment containing one of the highest concentrations of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) on the market.

It is specially formulated for people whose skin lacks volume and elasticity.

What's the difference between Profhilo® and Dermal Fillers?

While both injectables use the same component, hyaluronic acid, Profhilo® and Dermal Filler work very differently.

Dermal filler is injected to enhance a specific area such as the lips and cheeks, and it does not typically migrate to the surrounding skin. In this way, it augments your natural facial structure to produce more angular cheekbones or plumper lips.

Profhilo® works very differently because it is made of 100% hyaluronic acid, while dermal fillers have other components. Because Profhilo® is made of a completely natural skin substance, it blends into the skin seamlessly and distributes itself evenly. The treatment also helps to retain moisture levels in the skin while boosting the production of collagen and elastin, both essential skin proteins, which help refresh the skin from the inside out.

Who is suitable for Profhilo®?

Profhilo® is recommended for adults who feel their skin has begun to sag, lose overall volume and fullness. Profhilo® can be used to refresh and rejuvenate skin.

Profhilo® is not suitable for those who are wanting to replace lost volume in specific parts of their face, or those who want to alter the shape of their face or features.

Can I get cosmetic injectable treatments while pregnant?

No. Your safety is our main concern and for this reason, we do not treat clients who are pregnant. We advise against all cosmetic injectable treatments whilst pregnant simply out of precaution and due to the lack of information available on cosmetic injectable treatment effects on the fetus.

How long does this treatment last?

t is recommended to repeat annually, but the treatment can be repeated every six months.

How quickly will you have visible results?

The week after your first session, your skin will start feeling more hydrated but you won’t be able to see the complete results visibly until after your second Profhilo session.

Two to three weeks after the second session, your skin will feel plumper, firmer, and look fresher.
